Image: Alex Livesey/Getty Images.We didn’t actually intend for this to become a regular feature, but during Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat to Bolton this weekend Andy Carroll took his shirt off, and in doing so, proved he does serve a useful purpose on the football pitch.
Not many people think he does at the mo, so before he has the chance to prove them right later today against Manchester City, we felt this occasion deserved to be marked.
